Last Sunday was our last "present". After church, the kids and Dad took the body to the dumpster at the floral shop. Later that afternoon, we were at my parents when our neighbor down the street, Susan, called to ask if we were okay as the dumpster was on fire. Seems plumes of smoke and noxious fumes were spewing around everywhere. We rushed home but by then the fire was out and luckily the wind kept the house from having any smell.
Now on to wonderful words:
Carter, on his own initiative, decided to make a card for his teacher, Ms. Linda. He drew her inside the card (first time he's drawn a person's face) and he wrote his name on his own (first time since Christmas). The next day, he decided to write a note for his Dad. All it said over and over was "Love". He wrote all of the words himself. I'm hoping this means we're over the learning slump for now!
