Saturday was Carter's first soccer game. We were very concerned about whether or not he would make it through the entire game without crying or having a break down. I tried to explain to him what a game would be like and how he just needed to run with the other boys and have fun. He had nothing to be nervous about. Well, turns out there was nothing to worry about - he did an awesome job!
The head coach was a no show and there has to be two coaches so I volunteered Patrick for the job. Maybe this helped Carter be more at ease? Carter kicked the ball and ran after it in the middle of the pack the entire game. He had a great time. It's like it suddenly clicked and he got it. Yeah! I was on the side lines jumping up and down clapping I was so excited for him. Patrick said he had a lot of fun being a coach. Maybe he'll be Carter's coach this Fall.
Yeah Carter! We're so proud of you!!!!
