da Vinci's Birthday

Today at Carter's school they learned a little bit about Leonardo da Vinci as it's his birthday. Carter and I talked about it on the car ride home. 

Me: "What did Leonardo da Vinci do?"

Carter: "He painted pictures of people. There weren't any cameras back then so he had to paint photos of people."

Me: "Where did he live?"

Carter: "I can't remember."

Me: "He lived in Italy."

Carter: "Yes, and people who live in Italy speak Chinese, Mommy."
